Common questions about rankings, voting, and the Prestige Index.

MewRank is a community-driven prestige index for technology companies. You vote in head-to-head battles between two companies; we use an ELO-style algorithm to turn those votes into a live ranking. The result is a leaderboard of how “prestigious” tech companies are perceived by voters.

Go to the Battle page. You’ll see two companies — click the one you think is more prestigious. The rankings update immediately. You can vote as often as you like; each vote affects the ELO scores.

People paid $1 each to “boost” that company; we add 1 to boost_value per $1. Display ELO = vote ELO + boost_value. When boost_value > 0 we show “Bribed & Boosted (+X ELO)”. You can filter out boosted entries with “Hide boosted” to see the raw community ranking.

Yes. On the Rankings page, use the “Hide boosted” toggle. That view is free and shows only the vote-based ranking with no boosted entries.

You need to sign up and sign in. Then use “Add Company” in the header. Enter the company name, optional alias (e.g. “Meta (Facebook)”), and website URL; we’ll fetch a logo automatically. New companies start at 1500 ELO.

We use an ELO-style system: each company has a number. When one wins a battle, its rating goes up and the loser’s goes down. Beating a higher-rated company gives a bigger gain. See the Methodology page for full details.

We don’t manually adjust rankings. All changes come from votes. Boosted companies are clearly labeled so you can ignore them. Hiding boosted gives you the raw, vote-only ranking.

MewRank is an independent project. Rankings are driven by community votes and our open methodology. For contact and support, use the Support link in the header.

$1 = +1 ELO. Multiple people can boost; we show "Bribed & Boosted (+X)" when boost value > 0.
